Countdown to Crawford: Tracking the final days of the Bush administration

Celebrities who threatened to move out of the U.S. when Bush got elected...

Remember all those celebrities who threatened to leave the country if George W. Bush won the election in 2000? Barbra Streisand and Alec Baldwin come to mind.

Well, guess what? They're still here.

And actor Stephen Baldwin, a former supporter of GOP candidate Mike Huckabee who's now backing Republican John McCain, told Fox News' Laura Ingraham Wednesday night that he will make the same pledge if Democrat Barack Obama is elected.

Stephen Baldwin also wondered why celebrity endorsements matter at all. "What is freaky to me is the media and Hollywood is so convinced that Middle America and mainstream America cares what it thinks."

But the Republican Baldwin deflected attempts to criticize his brother. "Laura, be nice," he said. "He can still kick my butt."
