Obama: Bush & McCain like Lone Ranger & Tonto

Democrat Barack Obama sharpened his criticism of rival John McCain today,  comparing him to George W. Bush nearly two dozen times during a half-hour rally at Peccole Stadium at the University of Nevada's Reno campus.

Noting that McCain is trying to distance himself from the president, Obama said: “Well, let’s be clear: John McCain attacking George Bush for his out-of-hand economic policy is like Dick Cheney attacking George Bush for his go-it-alone foreign policy.  … It’s like Tonto getting mad at the Lone Ranger.”

Awesome, nice to see the humorous Obama from the primaries back!

Not the Lone Ranger and Tonto...more like Pinky and the Brain

I am SOOOOOO tired of hearing John McCain talking about ANGER and FIGHTING and playing the "terrorist" and "socialist" card. Mostly I am REALLY OVER Joe the Plumber. He keeps misrepresenting the Obama tax plan and repeating the same stupid and tired things over and over. It makes me sick to my stomach every time I see him on TV. Everyone I know has voted early and voted for Obama and Biden except for one racist guy who lives two houses down from me and even HE is saying he would rather have Obama in office than John McCain. To those who are buying into the McCain Palin message, PLEASE get online and start fact checking!! It's so very easy in this day and age. We don't need 4 more years of the same sad failed policies. How much more proof do you need that trickle down economics won't work. And don't let anyone tell you that it's because the Democrats have been in congress for the last 1-1/2 years. There have been more Republican fillibusters to hamper their efforts during this time than ever before in history. VOTE EARLY and VOTE FOR CHANGE!!! :)

Yup.

You know, I remain very angry that Bin Laden is still out there, mocking us.

How can 'patriots' think that New York and D.C. are not the real America when they were the sites of the attacks?

How can others co-opt the anger of the attack and not respect the targets?

Did you see Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27265369/

He gave very sound reasons for the endorsement and for rejecting McCain.

Whoa Obama! "Tonto" is an ethnic slur that may be understood as entertainment in Reno, but not in battleground states like New Mexico. It's more like Tommy Smothers criticizing Dickie Smothers.

How in heaven's name is calling a Native American character by his fictional name "an ethnic slur?" I certainly was opposed to the Fighting Illini caricature; no Illini Native American dressed in the manner Chief Illiniwek was dressed or danced in the manner he danced. Inaccurate? Sure. Insulting? Arguably. A slur against real-life Native Americans? A reasonable conclusion.
But, McCain backers show their unreason, & desperation, when they argue, in effect, vote for McBush & "Whiter-Shade-of" Palin, 'cause he doesn't "diss" Native Americans by invoking a Native American fictional character & calling him by name.

THE LADY IS A ROGUE TRAMP
(The Lady is A Tramp, Frank Sinatra)

Sung by John McBlame:

She's just too hungry, for a Vice Presidential date
She loves political mud slinging, never heard of Watergate
She'd never bother, with "UnAmerican" voters she hates
Thats why the lady is a rogue tramp

Doesnt like to play games, with media barons and earls
Would only go to campaigning, in ermine and pearls
Will dish the dirt, unlike the rest of us girls
Thats why the lady is a rogue tramp

She loves the free, fresh permafrost wind in her hair
Northern redneck life without care
Shes broke, but its ok the RNC's there
She loves her trailer camp even though, its cold and its damp
Thats why the lady is a rogue tramp

Doesnt like strategy games, with sharpies and aides
Won't get on the bus unless its prepaid
Will dish out more campaign dirt, than the rest of us broads
Thats why the lady is a rogue tramp

Its funny how Obama tries to paint McCain as being too far to the right at a time when many Republicans are complaining that he is too far to the left. Many Republicans are wishing Palin was at the top of the ticket.
