Musical Obama ad portrays John McCain as Bush dance partner

10:31 AM PT, Aug 25 2008

Remember that old Sam Cooke song about what a wonderful world this would be? Or maybe you remember Herman's Hermits doing it. It started like this:

Don't know much about history / Don't know much biology / Don't know much about science books / Don't know much about the French I took / But I do know that I love you / And I know that if you loved me too / What a wonderful world this would be.

Well Barack Obama's campaign has turned that song on its head. In an ad about Republican John McCain's ties to the Bush White House, it shows the two in an embrace. The new lyrics:

I'm not up on the economy / Don't know much about industry / Really can't explain the price of gas / Or what is happening to the middle class / But I do know that 1 and 1 is 2 / And if I could be just like you / What a wonderful world this would be.

Then, asks the ad, "Do we really want four more years of the same old tune?"
