Unnamed GOPers worry Bush is shrinking
Is President Bush shrinking? Some unnamed Republicans think so and have been talking to reporters about how the president's schedule makes him look out of touch. Tee-ball games on the South Lawn. Photo shoots with athletes. Even Oval Office meetings with suits.
According to U.S. News & World Report:
Some of President Bush's allies tell the Political Bulletin they are embarrassed and angry that the White House seems to be wasting Bush's time on frivolous events when much of the country is suffering through economic hard times. "Look at the schedule for Monday," says an outside Bush adviser. "A highlight of his day was witnessing a tee ball game.... He is being reduced to child's play." The adviser says Bush also signed a supplemental appropriations bill for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan on Monday, but he adds that it didn't get much coverage and that the tee ball game set the wrong tone. There is growing concern among Bush allies that the Democrats will effectively portray the president and GOP candidate John McCain as out of touch. Some GOP insiders now predict that the Republicans will lose at least five seats in the Senate and 15 to 20 in the House, and it could get worse if gasoline prices continue to soar and the public remains in a disgruntled mood.
In fact, Bush leaves for Asia shortly to participate in the Group of Eight meetings of world economic powers in Japan, and later in the summer visits South Korea and China. It's hard to blame the White House for scheduling tee-ball games -- something it has done for years. If Republicans seem out of touch, is it really George W. Bush's fault?

Can't we speed up the countdown? The sooner GWB retires to Crawford, the better off everyone in the world will be.

Now there's a EXTRA! Bush is out of touch with America! Ya' think?! When are MAericans going to realize that he never, not from day one, cared about the overall well-being of this country? He was put into place by Big Oil to get into Iraq's resources and that's all. Mission Accomplished.

Sign the guy up to play in a tee-ball league until 20JAN09. Just keep him away from the White House, and important policy decisions.

How could Bush get any smaller? He's nothing but a footnote to the Cheney administration as it is.

He certainly looks smaller to me...except maybe his ears, which seem to be getting bigger.

Dubya has been out of touch his entire life of silver-spoon-fed privilege. He's never held a real job. Never had to work for a living. Any potential rough spots have been smoothed over by family, political connections, and wealthy friends. That's how he got into Yale and Harvard. How he got out is anybody's guess but I'm sure it had a lot to do with his family name, Poppy's check's to the alumni funds, and the concept of the 'gentleman's C', which to you and me is an F. All this would be laughable but for the horrendous damage this man and his co-conspirators have done to so many Americans, Iraqis, Afghans, and who knows how many more around the world. All of us would be better off if Dubya would spend ALL his time at Tee Ball games on the South Lawn of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

The less he does to embarrass himself or the Republicans, the better for the rest of us. The GOP doesn't need, want or respect this idiot. The RNC is just counting the days when this fool is out.

Frivera93552: He hasn't done anything that the neo-con republican leadership that's been in place since the 70's hasn't been 110% in favor of. The GOP claiming that Bush didn't faithfully adhere to their agenda is laughable.

Bush has been out of touch with real people for a long time. I'm not sure he ever really was. If you figure the big issues: the economy, job loss, (see June statistics), outsourcing and offshoring, Iraq and the risk to our servicemen in the Middle East--not to mention offshore drilling, helping the Mississippi River flood victims, rebuilding the levees or getting something better and stronger in their place...I ask, "What are the President's priorities?" Maybe, though, if the public thinks it's tee-ball, we'll go Democratic in November. I can only hope so.

If you notice, his eyes are moving to the center, pretty soon he will be an ogre!
Of course he has always been one of those. He won't even make it as a foot note but will be remembered as the WORST EVER IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY!!!

He has always been out of touch. He has never cared about average people. The sooner he, & the Republicans, are gone, the better.

What needs to happen is: Bush, Cheney et al must be held accountable for the needless deaths of our gallant heroes who died in vain for Bush's
Daddy-Issues War in Iraq. Prosecution for Constitutional violations-including and not limited to those related to partisan politics subverting the DOJ and war crimes would also be a good start toward healing our nations and never allowing this to happen again. Ford letting Nixon off the hook and the pardoning of Watergate criminals set the precedent for Bush's election and the Cheney-Rove machinations that put us where we are at.

Bush is the most prolific fund raiser that the GOP has ever seen. Bush's mommy and daddy are billionaires. It's hard to be in touch with the common people when you have never been one of them in the first place.

For those who think President Bush is out of touch, Just wait, and, see what you get if Barack Obama becomes president. He and his great speeches will fade, and the reality of the job as president will finally bring to light, his lack of judgement, honesty and leadership. In my lifetime, I have seen many like him. They come from nowhere quickly, you don't know them so they criticize, make promises, offer suggestion making the weak believe they have all the right answers. When you finally see who they are, It's too late. No president is perfect, nor as president can they do every thing they promised , but I see Bush much more honest than Obama. Obama has no thoughts of his own. He is no leader, check his record. Give me Bush or McCain, but NO OBAMA.

Bush is has probably been rueing the day he ever got re-elected! He should have quit while he was ahead, and he knows it! You can bet he is counting the days til he can just BOLT...and never look back!!!!
Look for him to bolt at the earliest opportunity...never to be seen or heard from again!

Impeach him!!

Frankly I much prefer to have Bush diddling about in the Rose Garden with his Tee Ball than creating yet more problems that this country does not need.

Yeah, I can't wait for Obama to come in and cure all...or the Democrats like they said they would in 2006....oh wait, things have only gotten worse since they took control of BOTH HOUSES.
You guys are clueless when it comes to blaming folks. Neither party has the answers. Wake up.
