Bush tells athletes 'My eligibility has run out'
They met on the White House South Lawn, 20 teams from 15 campuses in 13 states, all being honored for winning national championships in sports as diverse as bowling, fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, tennis and water polo. They listened as President Bush lionized their achievement.
"You showed incredible discipline, skill, perseverance," he said. "It's hard to become a champ and that's why we love to honor people here at the White House when you become one."
Like an athlete in his last meet, Bush used a line he often employs in spurring further achievement, urging the students to excel again so he could welcome them back to the White House next year. "This time it's not going to work," he said. "My eligibility has run out."

Glad to see somebody will be keeping an eye on GWB until he returns to Crawford, TX. Congress certainly isn't. Maybe you can make sure he doesn't do anything foolish, like advance on Iran.
