Family secrets

Loweflockhart Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger this week quietly visited the set of "Brothers & Sisters," an ABC drama starring his buddy, Rob Lowe, and produced at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank.

Until this visit, the governor for the past year has slacked off on his promise to promote the California film industry, which has been fleeing to Canada and even New Mexico because of cheaper production costs.

The governor's office did not announce the "Brothers & Sisters" visit, but ABC put out a press release. Schwarzenegger gave the producers a proclamation praising them for keeping the show in California, and then watched a scene being filmed.

The one-hour show, also starring Sally Field and Calista Flockhart (pictured with Lowe), is about a loving but dysfunctional family that includes an opinionated mother and a senator, with dark family secrets of lust and betrayal. Sounds like Schwarzenegger's in-laws.
