Romney's California Money Team

Romney Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has announced the 27-person California fund-raising team for his 2008 presidential run. The list includes a few heavy hitters, including eBay CEO Meg Whitman and Robert Day, chairman of the Trust Company of the West, a private money-management firm. Day was a President Bush fund-raising "pioneer" and is estimated to be worth about $700 million.

The Romney team also includes Brad Freeman, who formed an investment company with former L.A. Mayor Richard Riordan in 1983 - Freeman Spogli & Company. Freeman, too, has been major fund-raiser and confidant to the Republican president, who has been an occasional overnight guest at Freeman's Brentwood mansion. After Bush moved into the White House, the president gave his cat, Ernie, to Freeman.

Full list after the jump.
