John Edwards: U.C. Janitor Fight Akin To Selma March

Edwards_1 Presidential candidate John Edwards, speaking in Berkeley, says the fight to increase the pay of University of California janitors is a continuation of the civil rights struggle that began in the 1960s. "This march for economic and social justice for the men and women who work at this university is a part of a bigger march in America for fairness and equality," Edwards said. A sign in the crowd reads: "Help us Obi-John Edwards, you're our only hope." The Daily Californian story is here. Edwards appears at UCLA today.
