Blogger Smacked Down For Calling Leno 'King Of Kiddie Porn'

Leno_2 A blogger and political operative has removed a posting on his website that called California Assemblyman Mark Leno (pictured) the "King of Kiddie Porn" because he offered an amendment to Jessica's Law. Last year, Leno attempted to change state law to avoid the prosecution of people who accidentally download child pornography while viewing adult sites.

Writing on his personal blog MikeOpera, Michael Colbruno, a former staffer to state Sen. Carole Migden and a vice president for governmental affairs with Clear Channel Outdoor, criticized Leno for supporting a "kiddie porn" bill on Fox News, writes the Bay Area Reporter. And now:

By Saturday, March 10, seven days after his initial posting, Colbruno claimed that his blog "was nothing more than a personal blog viewed mostly by my close friends and family," and complained that, "The 'Lenonites' decided to attack me and the 'clean campaigners' were suddenly calling me a 'scumbag' and 'sleazy.' "

Migden, who is running against Leno to retain her seat, called Calbruno and asked him to remove the offending post, Capitol Weekly reports. Clear Channel Outdoor, meanwhile, said Colbruno had not violated company policy, even though its "government affairs" representative had insulted a high-ranking government official.
