Will Hospitals Get a Break from Seismic Requirement?

A few things on the Web Sunday:

  • "The state may drop a requirement that nearly 1,000 California hospital buildings be seismically upgraded by 2013 and instead use new federal software to single out facilities most at risk from an earthquake." S.F. Business Times.

  • Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger wants to cut funding for public transportation. TrainBlog isn't amused.

  • Schwarzenegger is using the Internet like no other governor. Since June, the number of daily visitors has increased 13-fold from 5,000 to 65,000 visits, his office told the San Francisco Chronicle.

  • What if Schwarzenegger had played Hamlet? YouTube has the clip -- a "fan trailer" based on a sequence from "Last Action Hero."
