Peter Nicholas' Head

Here is what I see about 614 times a day when I turn around to say something to my colleague Peter Nicholas. The headphones are a dorky yet necessary evil in any newsroom — they drown out interruptions from annoying people such as myself. I think he's e-mailing Clay Russell, the governor's personal assistant, to wish him a happy birthday. The photo on the wall is of "Big Daddy" Jesse Unruh, the legendary former Assembly speaker. Back to blogging.
