Let's Get Our Priorities Straight

Sign_1There is a dead skunk at the entrance of Cal State Sacramento. Phil Angelides and Arnold Schwarzenegger have not arrived on campus yet for their 6 p.m. debate. But Bob Mulholland, a consultant for the Democratic Party, has already e-mailed his first observation:

"Two items I will be looking for at the debate are: Does Arnie have a receiver on his back like Bush Jr. did...and to see if Arnie has a chair a couple of inches higher than the other two chairs. Arnie refused to stand at a podium and demanded that everyone sit on a chair."

I am as obsessed with the Schwarzenegger height thing as anybody else, so this is an important reminder. But being around Schwarzenegger for three years, I can tell you he's not as short as Democrats want him to be. He's normal height, actually. As for an audio receiver on his back, for sarcasm-free readers: that's a joke.
