The annual Spring Fishing Classic, a series of fishing-related seminars, workshops and activities, begins  Friday through March 14 at Bass Pro Shops nationwide.

The Rancho Cucamonga store will be visited by fishing pros Ben Secrest and Jamie Howard, and will host seminars on topics such as offshore fishing, bass fishing and kayak angling. There will also be a reel trade-in, where attendees can bring in an old fishing reel and swap it for a coupon worth $5 to $100 toward the purchase price of a new one.

The weekend of March 13 and 14 will have activities geared for children, including crafts and miniature sailboat racing, a casting contest and a fishing basics seminar.

With so many things to see and do, including a laser shooting gallery, large live-fish tanks, wildlife and fish mounts on display, a fine gun room and the on-site Islamorada Fish Company restaurant, the store is a must-visit for outdoor enthusiasts even if not participating in Spring Fishing Classic activities or shopping for equipment.
