Six weight loss success stories
The Health section of the Times spotlighted the benefits of a regular regimen of exercise and good nutrition today with six personal stories of weight loss success. One of the the folks interviewed, L.A. County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, talked about his love of running (around the Fairfax District and Hancock Park) in his segment of the feature, excerpted here:
Yaroslavsky's exercise plan consists of running five to six days a week, from 4 to 8 miles. "I love to run," he says. "It's more than a weight-management thing for me. It's the only time I have to myself when I'm not being pulled in five directions."
What do you know? Apparently Yaroslavsky is one of those rare politicians who doesn't just run for office.
