Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo win gold in pairs figure skating

As expected, Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo of China won the gold medal in the pairs figure skating competition with a final score of 216.57 points, easily outdistancing Pang Qing and Tong Jian, also of China, who scored 213.31 points.
The bronze went to Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy of Germany with 210.60 points.
The highest American pair was the team of Amanda Evora and Mark Ladwig, who finished in 10th place.
