By Philip Hersh

VANCOUVER, B.C. -- Winnetka bobsledder Jamie Moriarty, featured in Friday's Tribune, helped push the USA 3 sled to 12th among 25 starters after the first two runs of the Olympic four-man event Friday afternoon at the Whistler Sliding Center.

They wound up five places higher than the USA 2 sled.

USA 1, driven by reigning world champion Steve Holcomb, stands first after two runs.

The final two runs are Saturday.
