Looking for the ultimate 2010 Winter Games souvenir? How about a medal podium?

The Vancouver committee that organized these games has decided to auction off 10,000 items when the games are over, including pucks from the final hockey games, ski gates and winners podiums. The Province newspaper reported that 20 of the 23 medal podiums would be available. Companies are expected to be the top bidders for the platforms, which are considered too big for most homes.

Also available will be the torch that Wayne Gretzky used to light the cauldron. Details of the online auction are being worked out. Gameday Auction, a Vancouver company, has been hired to set it up.
