Bilodeau gives Canada its first gold medal on home soil

Alexandre Bilodeau won the men’s moguls competition, giving host nation Canada its first gold medal of the Vancouver Winter Olympics. It is the first time Canada has ever won a gold medal on its home soil.

Dale Begg-Smith of Australia finished second

Bryon Wilson of Park City, Utah was third.

Qualifications round leader Guilbaut Colas of France was the last skier down the course, but finished in sixth place.
