The defending world champion in the super-combined said she needs to take a break from her heavy race schedule.

At last weekend’s race in Italy, she finished 38th in the super-G before crashing out in the giant slalom on her final run. This weekend’s race in St. Moritz, Switzerland, is the final World Cup event before the Olympics begin Feb. 12.

Zettel is third overall in the World Cup standings behind American Lindsey Vonn and German Maria Riesch.
