BEIJING -- Jamaica not only has the king of sprints, it has the queens as well.

Twenty-four hours after Usain Bolt set the world record in the men’s 100 and his fellow Jamaican, Asafa Powell, finished fifth, Jamaican women swept the medals Sunday in the women’s 100 at the Bird’s Nest.

Shelly Ann-Fraser finished first in 10.78 seconds, well ahead of silver medalist Sherone Williams and bronze medalist Kerron Stewart, who were both timed in 10.98.
