Field hockey: U.S. women lose to Germany

BEIJING -- The U.S. women’s field hockey team lost to Germany, 4-2, on Thursday, dropping to an 0-2-1 record with two games remaining in pool play. Germany is atop the standings, undefeated at 3-0.

Tiffany Snow of Escondido and Angela Loy of Loysville, Pa., each scored goals for the U.S.
