Davenport withdraws from singles competition

Lindsay Davenport has withdrawn from the women's singles competition in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games due to the right knee injury that forced her to withdraw from Wimbledon. She will compete in the doubles competition in Beijing with Liezel Huber.
