Bush to attend Beijing opening ceremonies

Well, there was a wire bulletin early this morning about President Bush attending the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in Beijing. And sure enough, the White House eventually confirmed the details. And as Jim Gerstenzang writes, it was a classic case of announcing controversial news when it is least likely to draw attention -- on the eve of a holiday.

I hope they get all the problems I have been seeing taken care of in time. I have seen there is an algae bloom where the yacht races are supposed to be.
