Women's gymnastics: the color is orange

June 9, 2008 |  5:56 pm

With the Visa National Championships getting underway in Boston, the subject was orange. Shawn Johnson calls her leotard orange. Others have described it as tangerine, peach or just plain sparkly. In any case, look for the orange leotard and you'll find Johnson, who is the leader going into Day 2 of the women's national gymnastics championships. Johnson promises to take out the tiniest of stumbles that she had on her vault in Thursday's first round and to straighten out some kinks she noticed on her balance beam routine.
