Debbie Goffa is a senior assistant sports editor and Olympics editor. With the L.A. Times since 1984, she helped manage and edit the L.A. Times front page for 10 years before moving to the Business section in 2002. She much preferred stats to stocks, however, and jumped to Sports in 2005. In a former life, the Los Angeles native was a reporter and feature writer.

Hi Debbie. Lost track of you. Happy to see you're still with The Times & seem to be surviving well. I retired 17 years ago & have enjoyed every minute of it. Do miss the psychic income of working at The Times.

Debbie Goffa, the sports babe. How about that. Nice to see you are doing well. Hard to believe it's been seven years since I left the Times. I start receiving Social Security in a couple months. Can't believe that either.
Take care, Tom LaMarre
