The Dougherty gang siblings have been captured
The lookout for three Florida siblings has ended. The members of the Dougherty gang -- the target of a nationwide manhunt -- have been caught south of Pueblo, Colo., after their car apparently crashed during a chase with Colorado law enforcement.

The Colorado State Patrol public affairs office tweeted, "Short pursuit with 3 sibling fugitives from Florida ends in crash, three in custody."

The siblings -- Lee Grace E. Dougherty, 29; her brother, Ryan, 21; and half-brother Dylan Dougherty Stanley, 26 -- have been on the run since Aug. 2, when authorities said they shot out the tires on a Zephyrhills, Fla., police patrol car that tried to stop them for speeding. Police say the three robbed a bank in Georgia a few hours later.

On Tuesday, officials said, the siblings were recognized by employees at a Colorado Springs sporting goods store where they were purchasing camping supplies.

Officials said the siblings were armed, although it is as yet unclear whether any shots were fired during the chase that led to their capture.
