Singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles said Wednesday she will play a special show at the Troubadour to mark the one-year anniversary of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

The Grammy-nominated performer -– and judge on NBC's "The Sing-Off" –- is doing the show to benefit the U.S.-based nonprofit group All Hand Volunteers, which is involved with relief efforts in Japan.

During the show, set for March 17, Bareilles is to premiere her documentary, "A Trace of the Sun: Volunteering in Japan." The film chronicles Bareilles' trip to Japan, where she helped with the organization's relief efforts in the city of Ofunato. It is to premiere on Vevo, an online service for music videos, on March 23.

Bareilles is currently completing an EP with her "Sing Off" costar Ben Folds.

Tickets for the all-ages show are $30 and are set to go on sale Wednesday at 1 p.m through Ticketfly.

Updated: The original version of this post said tickets go on sale Friday at 1 p.m. That was an error on the Ticketfly website. Tickets went on sale Wednesday at 1 p.m. Ticket prices are correct.
