Muppets 'Green Album': OK Go, Muppets team for video

August 24, 2011 | 11:17 am

Ok Go and Kermit the Frog team for the Muppets "Green Album"
It makes sense that OK Go and the Muppets have teamed up to create a sure-to-become a multimillion-view video remix of the classic "Muppet Show" theme song for the just-released "The Green Album." Both the band and the Muppets (or at least their handlers) are master practitioners of the viral video.

The redone theme is the first track off "The Green Album," a multi-band tribute to the Muppets, with songs from Weezer, My Morning Jacket, Alkaline Trio and others.

The video features all the members of OK Go and darn near all the Muppets. But whose video is it, exactly? As you can see by the "Inception"-like ending, we may never know.

We can surely expect more as the drumbeat grows louder for the Muppets' return to the big screen on Nov. 23.
