Fans of Tori Amos have reason to celebrate: The platinum-selling, genre-defying pianist-singer-songwriter is returning to the stage, and has announced a North American tour that will bring her to the intimate Orpheum Theatre in downtown L.A. for two nights: Dec. 17 and 18.

Amos’ return is prompted by the release of her first new album since 2009’s ‘Midwinter Graces.’ Her forthcoming full length, ‘Night of Hunters,’ will arrive in September and is described in the tour announcement as a ‘21st century song cycle inspired by select classical pieces spanning the last 400 years.’ It will be released by the classical label Deutsche Grammophon.
