Great lineup this year.....but Kanye West is a definite deal killer for me, so me and my girlfriend won't be going for the first time in 4 years.

.....A real disappointment that loudmouth Kanye West is gonna' be there. What a goof that dude is.

Really tragic line-up of mediocrity. Combine it with 2+ hour lines to get in the gate, overflowing trashcans, obnoxious security guards, and an oversold, overpacked field, and you have hell on earth!

I only like Saturday's line-up in full.
I'm very disappointed with KOL turning the way they did so I'd go to Friday only for the Black Keys (who are exhausted nowadays though?).
Kanye West? Strokes? Duran Duran?
NO WAY.
Last year line-up was better under every point of view.

Why would anyone let one man be a "deal killer" or have him be a "real disappointment" to their whole Coachella experience? There are so many acts and three days of performances. If you don't like Kanye, don't go to that particular show. I don't care if he is the supposed headliner.

there's not enough other bands to make it worth your while because of one headliner? damn. throw out the baby with the bathwater.

i wouldn't pay one dollar to see kanye west.
what a disappointment....except for DURAN DURAN.

Is it obvious that each year the lineup for Saturday continues to be lackluster...sandwiched by better lineups on Fri & Sunday? Too bad, since Saturday always has the most attendance.

Gotta join the other 2 comments, Kanye is a deal killer. What were they thinking?

Try listening to the album before you bash Kanye...Quentin Tarantino is a dickhead too but his movies are still sick...it's art, not real life

That's GREAT NEWS!! I hope more people don't go because of Kanye... it means more room for me and my friends to enjoy one of the most influential artists in the past decade perform the best album of the year!!

Kanye will put on one hell of a show, likely with lots of interesting special guests etc.
Posted by: Harold | January 19, 2011 at 09:23 AM
What a load of crap!!!!! And then pay $100/$200 to stand with sweaty and smelly people to see all these nobody's???
AEG shot themselves in the foot and threw everything they've worked for out the window.

yeah kwest is a deal breaker and thats saying a lot with the lineup they have but i dont want to support him in any way
Posted by: silas | January 19, 2011 at 10:13 AM
No radiohead, no Wilco, oh well....
Posted by: CCC | January 19, 2011 at 10:18 AM
Kanye is a musical genius. Count me in.
Posted by: Mark | January 19, 2011 at 10:21 AM
It ain't a happening unless Gaga is happening.
Anybody know what changes are being made? It's too chaotic and crowded. Like my yogi, Yogi Berra, once said, "It's so crowded, people stopped going." Word.
Posted by: MrTemecula | January 19, 2011 at 10:21 AM
What??? No Adam Lambert???
Posted by: Cosmo Kramer | January 19, 2011 at 10:35 AM
At least I can drive home early on Sunday. Who even listens to Kanye West? DOCKEVOC: Is that you Kanye or possibly somebody who works for Rolling Stone magazine?
Otherwise the rest of the list looks pretty good. It also looks like it would have been a more relevant show had the same list been applied 4 years ago. Lot of negativity out there.
Posted by: Thetired | January 19, 2011 at 10:45 AM
regarding luvit's comment:
Could you name anybody worthwhile that Kanye has influenced in the past decade?
Is that you Kanye?
Posted by: Thetired | January 19, 2011 at 10:50 AM
Decent lineup this year.. Kanye's not a deal breaker for me, but it is really weird he's in the lineup at all.. Doesn't seem to fit IMO.. Oh well, it won't be hard to ignore the "musical genius".. I just threw up a little as I typed that..
Posted by: Hmm | January 19, 2011 at 11:11 AM
THIS LINE UP IS NOT WORTH IT $300 !!! THEY BETTER HAVE SOME SURPRISES UNTIL THE FESTIVAL! I'VE BEEN CHECKING EVERYDAY COACHELLA WEB SITE TO SEE THE LINE UP OF 2011 , NOW I'M SO DISAPPOINTED AND I MIGHT NOT GO. FIRST TIME IN YEARS THAT I'M THINKING OF NOT GOING TO COACHELLA...SO SAD!
Posted by: WILLIAM | January 19, 2011 at 11:19 AM
how do you get to woodstock????
Posted by: jpsval | January 19, 2011 at 11:29 AM
Not going cause the man who just put out one of the best albums in half a decade is going to be there. No, no please. keep going. you make a ton of sense...
Posted by: Ryuk | January 19, 2011 at 11:29 AM
...and still no Jamiroquai. Come on man!!!!
