Lady Gaga releases new video, will go head-to-head with the Strokes at Lollapalooza

We all know who's going to win this one, even if the rockers don't want to admit it. Lollapalooza, the annual music festival held in Chicago's Grant Park, has announced the set times for its 2010 installment, and the two Friday night headliners, the Strokes and Lady Gaga, will be performing at the same time. The Strokes, who are returning after a three-year hiatus, will perform on the Budweiser stage; Lady Gaga will perform on the South stage.

You can find the entire schedule here.

Oh, and, yes, that is the brand new Gaga clip embedded above, for the song "Alejandro." Directed by fashion photographer Steve Klein, the clip reinforces the notion that no one understands the convergence of image and music right now better than Gaga.

Lady Gaga stan much? Who's comparing her to the Strokes? They have completely different audiences.

Knock-knock, Lady Gaga. Madonna called and wants her tired 80's pseudo-scandalous religious imagery and lame "La Isla Bonita" fake Spanish track back.

Man. Soundgarden or the Arcade Fire on Sunday? That's a real toughie.

wow, writhing men with muscles and no shirts in a music video - groundbreaking! Never been done before. Brilliant! Visionary!

Actually the images are over-produced and far exceed the quality of the song itself. Disjointed. Choreography for the sake of choreography, not connecting with the story of the song. These "cinematic" openings are getting old. Not hating, just bored.

Soundgarden is 1,000,000 time better then Lady Gaga

Gaga is always a visual treat and has some very catchy songs. This one seems to be channeling Ace of Base.

STROKES FOREVER.

Some day a future civilization will unearth videos like this and ask of our culture, "WTF?"

I love this video. The music is good. I was alwyas a madonna fan,s o I favor lady gaga . Now some of her videos are too explicit and un called for. Lady gaga has a superb voice. I just wish singers would have their unique style on their videos. She seems to copy alot of madonnas ideas. Its like miley cyrus trying to copy brittney spears with her fishnet stockings and kissing females in her videos. Cant these singers think of their own ideas instead of copying other performers?
