Bret Michaels in critical condition after a brain hemorrhage

April 23, 2010 |  3:13 pm

6a00d8341c630a53ef0133ece700a4970b People is reporting that Bret Michaels, best known in the '80s as the singer for hair metal band Poison but whose second life as a reality star has made him famous to a whole new generation, has suffered a brain hemorrhage. Our Ministry of Gossip has a full post on the news, but here are the basics:

The rocker and "Celebrity Apprentice" contestant, who is also diabetic, was rushed to a hospital Thursday night with a severe headache. According to People's source, doctors are still trying to determine the cause of the hemorrhage.

We'll keep you posted on his status, but for now, perhaps you should rock the L.A. metal band's best song, "Talk Dirty to Me." Oh wait, that's right, Poison was on EMI, so we can't embed anything because of the label's short-sighted view of embeds. Never mind. We can't turn you on to Poison's music. (Godspeed, Bret!)
