The sad tale of DJ Cobra, Michael Jackson and the most ill-timed album art ever

So back in May, this fellow by the name of DJ Cobra, who has remixed the likes of David Guetta and Lil Wayne, decided to make a pastiche of pop samples into a long-playing DJ mix. The mix, titled "iller," would be a tribute to one of his favorite pop stars, with cheeky homage album art to match.
It's now out and available for download, and somewhere The Coup is breathing a sigh of relief that they no longer have the most coincidentally poorly timed album art in the history of pop music.
-August Brown

Notwithstanding the timing of the cover art, this musical mix is really well done. It combines a blend of the best of current hip hop with some timeless and recognizable pieces of music.DJCobra is a true artist in his own right. The music deserves to be heard and DJCobra's talent recognized as one of the DJ World's most talented mixers.

The art work intrigued me enough to take a listen and I must say controversy aside this is by far and away one of if not the best DJ mix I have ever herd.

Dj Cobra by far has raised the bar in this production. I cant even imagine of such a mix containing classics and fixing them with whats hot at this moment. I've heard lots of mixtapes/cds with dj's just blending tracks that go well together. Can you imagine stripping BIggie's record and acapellas and making them co exist with "ENYA" in the background, or a young jezzy flowing on top of a linkin park beat right after transitioning to Ashanti Sampled beat ( Foolish ) mixed with 50 cent taking over with Wonderwall's Oasis to follow up? Now this is just to name a few. I lost count after 279 sampled songs. By far the best album from this true artist thus far. Its very imperative to have an open mind and appreciate music and prepare to hear the best DJ take over.

I remember receiving the CD the day before Michael died and then for him to pass away unexpected the next day just seemed so unbelievable. Great mix. I am sure it will get the attention it deserves rather then people trying to negatively spin the cover art.

I was given this CD the day before Michael died and I still can't get over how ironic the timing was. Despite all the attention the artwork is getting anyone would be lying to themselves if they didn't think his is an amazingly put together mixtape. Definitely my album of the summer

This mix blows!! Hollywood propaganda all the way!
I've seen this dj before, he doesn't sound like mix cd at all.
Maybe its because it'a all studio made....Don't believe the HYPE!
This is another reason why the Dj community has no respect for you.
Please stop calling yourself a Dj
