Kylie Minogue plots first ever West Coast-heavy tour
International sensation and U.S. pop curiosity Kylie Minogue will stage her first-ever U.S. tour this summer. West Coast fans of the dance artist are in luck, as Minogue will play the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 4, and precede it with dates in Las Vegas (Oct. 3) and Oakland (Sept. 30).
The Australian singer has had moderate success in the U.S. at best, but globally she's arguably the world's most popular singer. Billboard reports that her most recent tour, KylieX2008, hit 21 countries and brought in an estimated $70 million in ticket sales.
Meanwhile, the industry publication reports that 2007's "X" sold just 36,000 albums in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. Note, however, that the album was released in America in the spring of 2008, a full year after it had been available on import in other territories.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale May 15. A news release promises that members of Minogue's e-mail list will receive information on pre-sale offers, which begin Thursday, May 7. Tickets will be offered early to American Express card members as well. Ticket prices have not yet been listed.

There is a reason she never cracked US and is only marginally famous outside UK..she is mediocre..all the costumes and glitter and paraphernalia notwithstanding.
She did a 67 venue tour ( billed as worldwide) recently and still did not get to play to one million people, just to put it in perspective.her fan base is 85% gay OTT types and very young idealistic suburban girls.
She got Dubai and Bollywood only because they could not afford the stars they wanted ,so her people blagged her in at discount fee.
Overrated much.. you bet ya.

I'm sure Kylie is laughing her way to the bank with millions, and she is soon to be laughing her way to the bank with my money as well! I can't wait to go to her show, hopefully tickets won't be too ridiculous though. Anyways, 'overrated' isn't exactly the word I would use to describe a 20+ year career in the music industry.

Kylie is great fun, dancy pop music - i just got tix and will be looking forward to the show! Overrated? No, I don't think so. There's a reason she's so popular around the globe.

Annie, Kylie Minogue is one of the worlds greatest stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is the QUEEN OF POP.... I can't wait for her show, I have all her C.Ds and DVDS, her shows that she puts on are mind blowing.... Never sceen anything like them before! Go Kylie you rock...
