No Doubt will tour in 2009

November 22, 2008 |  2:30 pm

It's certain: No Doubt will reunite for the group's first tour in five years, to commence in 2009.  There are no specifics as to when and where the tour will happen, but the group put the news out on its website today.

"I think we should go out now. I don't think we should wait," Gwen Stefani notes in the four-way conversation with cohorts Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young. "Pack up the babies and get a bunch of nannies. So fun. Would be so inspiring to get out there and play all those songs again."

The quartet has been working on what will be its first studio album in seven years, also expected next year. In another post on No Doubt's website last spring, Stefani said songwriting was coming slowly for her, which she attributed to her being pregnant at that time with her and husband Gavin Rossdale's second child, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, who was born in August.

More details will be forthcoming, no doubt.
