Jane's Addiction turns back the clock at La Cita
Ever wonder what it would be like to see Jane's Addiction in a club that's the size of some arena dressing rooms?
Former Times music writer Kevin Bronson, who now blogs at buzzbands.la, was lucky enough to get inside Jane's secret show Thursday at downtown bar La Cita, which was first reported by Pop & Hiss, and then later confirmed by the band.
His post reveals a true fan's dream set, filled with early material such as "Whores" and "1 %." Read his account of the overflowing gig (with a picture of the full set list) here.
UPDATE: Dave Navarro teases on his blog, where he also links out to YouTube footage of "Ocean Size" that "everything came together, hopefully not for the last time." Here's hoping more Jane's Addiction gigs with this lineup are in the works. We're guessing that is a distinct possibility early next year right around the time the band's box set "Cabinet of Curiosities" is released.
