‘Hugo,’ ‘The Help,’ ‘The Ides of March,’ ‘War Horse,’ ‘The Descendants’ and ‘Moneyball’ received Golden Globe nominations for best dramatic film this morning, while ‘The Artist,’ ‘Midnight in Paris,’ ‘Bridesmaids,’ ‘My Week With Marilyn’ and ‘50/50’ topped the motion picture comedy or musical category nominations. A cadre of big-name stars -- including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Gosling, Meryl Streep, Jodie Foster and Charlize Theron -- also received nominations in a number of categories.

The Golden Globe awards will be handed out Jan. 15 at the Beverly Hilton hotel, and the gala will be broadcast on NBC. Ricky Gervais, who as host last January shook up Hollywood with some scorching insults, will again emcee the broadcast.
