'Whistleblower': Rachel Weisz exposes sex trade [Exclusive clip]
When "The Whistleblower" premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, Canada's National Post reported that events on screen were so intense that a woman fainted. Don't worry, this exclusive clip from the film featuring Rachel Weisz isn't that scene.
But it does give you a taste of the real-life events U.N. officer Kathryn Bolkovac encountered when she went to Bosnia in 1999 and discovered a U.N. cover-up of human rights abuses and sex-trafficking. Weisz plays Bolkovac in co-writer/director Larysa Kondracki's film that portrays the events in classic thriller style. The cast includes Vanessa Redgrave, David Strathairn and Monica Bellucci.
In this clip from the film, which opens Aug. 5, Weisz confronts two of the scandal's victims and tries her best to win their trust.
