Film critic Kenneth Turan's Top 10 overlooked films of 2010

December 21, 2010 | 11:30 am

Never Let Me Go

People sometimes imagine the best thing about being a film critic is getting to see movies for free. Actually, the best part is getting to see movies at all.

TuranOverlooked Because film critics must see films, we make time for them in our lives no matter what else is going on. So we inevitably catch more cinema than the average viewers, including those who plan to see certain films only to find they've been snatched from theaters before their time.

So with the DVD world in mind, click on the gallery to the right for a list of films that never caught on, never got the traction needed to make it to the top of must-see lists. That doesn't make them any less special or less worthy of an audience's devotion.

— Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times film critic

Uh, where is the list?

My friend sent me this article and I am surprised that Never Let Me Go didn't get more attention... a few of these I will be renting very soon. They also included a link for this new app that keeps you in the know called Actor Genie, its awesome for anyone that doesn't want to be left behind like these movies have been...

@zygion Click the hyperlink inside the post. Or click the photo gallery. Same thing.

To: Mr. Turan. I'm a huge fan. I've found that your reviews are insightful, and usually cut through the hype and BS. A la Black Swan. :) Thank you.
