Sundance 2010: Reaction to 'The Runaways'

January 25, 2010 |  6:11 am

There were, apparently, lots of rockers in the crowd for the premiere screening of "The Runaways."  Very few people criticized the film. (One man, who didn't want his name used, said he thought it "manifested the spirit of rock" better than many movies he'd seen.)

Audience members praised Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart praised for their performances, but some  said the most poignant moments came after the movie, when the real female rockers took to the stage for the Q&A.

The video below gives a sense of the positive vibes about the film.

This theatrical duo was a bit self-indulgent, but the guy's passion for director Floria Sigismondi was  apparent. He expanded on it off camera, saying she had inspired him to pursue a career in art.
