Online reservation service OpenTable is out with its annual list of 50 favorite eateries for ‘foodies,’ culled from more than 10 million restaurant reviews.

Sixteen of the spots are in California; 10 of them in San Francisco, Oakland or Berkeley. The choices include restaurants that regularly find themselves on lists -– such as the one last month ranking expensive eateries, which was topped by French Laundry near Napa.

Other foodie favorites in the region include vegetarian spot Ubuntu Napa and Ad Hoc, which is famous for its fried chicken.

In Los Angeles, Osteria Mozza -– a collaboration between Nancy Silverton, Mario Batali and Joseph Bastianich -– made the OpenTable cut. Hatfields and its French cuisine was also on the list.

Wonder if the new Zagat-Google pairing, widely viewed as a threat to OpenTable and review site Yelp, will offer restaurant rankings.
