Wall Street Roundup: Rising Dow. Subprime AAA again.

Gold: Trading now at $1,818 an ounce, down 1.5% from Wednesday. Dow Jones industrial average: Trading now at 11,708.67, up 0.7% from Tuesday.

Rising Dow. A few more pieces of promising economic data sent stocks up Wednesday morning, helping the Dow get back into positive territory for the year.

Subprime AAA again. While Standard & Poor's thinks the United States is no longer a AAA credit, they are willing to again give the AAA to some subprime mortgage securities.
