Los Angeles is top Labor Day destination for cheap’os

Los Angeles is No. 1 with cheap’os!
L.A. topped Orlando this year as the top Labor Day destination among travelers booking on CheapOair, the website for vacationers looking for low-price travel deals.
The City of Angels ranked second to Orlando for Labor Day travel in 2010 but took the top spot this year, based on booking data from more than half a million visitors to CheapOair.com.
But apparently, Los Angeles is not as popular with visitors to other travel websites.
Among air travelers who booked on the Orbitz travel website, Los Angeles ranked as the ninth-most popular Labor Day destination, jumping one spot from the ranking last year. New York took the top spot among Orbitz visitors.
But based upon both travel websites, Las Vegas offers the best travel deals because airfares to Sin City have dropped 1% compared with the same period last year.
The average airfare for the top 10 destinations in the U.S. jumped 4% over last year, according to CheapOair. Airfares for flights to L.A. increased by the same amount.
