Wall Street Roundup: Bernanke boost, Madoff checks coming

Good morning. Comments from Ben Bernanke and data from China have penetrated the investor malaise of the last few days and sent stocks up

Overheard. The government may have listened in on phone calls with as many as 100 different investment managers on Wall Street during their ongoing investigation of insider trading. 

Madoff checks coming. The trustee overseeing the recovery of Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme money may be ready to actually start sending out checks to some of the victims.
