Borders, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month and said it would close 200 locations, announced 28 more store closures on Thursday.

Seven of the new closures are in California. In Los Angeles, the Borders location in Hollywood at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street will shut by late May, the company said.
