No Justin Bieber store, Grove shopping center says

Tweens were no doubt hysterical Monday morning when reports surfaced that a Justin Bieber store would be opening at the Grove shopping center, selling the heartthrob’s lollipops, sneakers and toys.

We here at The Times were trying to wrap our heads around the frenzied hordes of screaming kiddies that would surely descend on the upscale Fairfax District mall for the store’s grand opening (and months after), when word came that there was no deal.

‘I was working with them last year with the possibility of this happening,’ spokeswoman Jennifer Gordon said Monday. ‘Toward the end of November, everything had fallen through. It’s not happening.’

Sorry, girls. But as Bieber’s latest video on his website reminds us, ‘Never Say Never.’
