More on tax credit for small businesses

After Friday’s article on California’s tax credit for small businesses that hire new workers, several readers e-mailed to find out more about it.

The place to go for more information is the California Franchise Tax Board, which has a Web page set up with details about the credit as well as information on how many people have taken advantage of it.

The page also shows how much money is still left in the pot. As of Jan. 8, 5,237 businesses had applied for the credit.
