Wall Street Roundup: Bonuses up, Goldman’s cinematic fight

Now for some good news. For the first time this week, the morning economic reports brought some good news. Consumer confidence rose, the Germany economy is growing at a record pace, some retail sales are up and deflation does not appear to have taken hold.

Bonuses up, but... A new survey from a private consultant suggests that banker bonuses will rise again this year, though bad recent trading results have led some to fear that the banks may again stop hiring.

Goldman’s cinematic fight. Goldman Sachs fired back at Hollywood producer Joel Silver, who has sued the bank and demanded $30 million for film deals that went bad.

Banker to rich kids. Citibank has created a website that allows wealthy parents and their lucky progeny to monitor their big allowances.
