Wham-O, the venerable manufacturer of the Frisbee, Hula Hoop, Slip ‘n Slide, Hacky Sack and other well-known recreational products, has leased nearly 150,000 square feet in Santa Fe Springs, real estate broker Colliers International said Thursday.

Emeryville, Calif.-based Wham-O will use the space at 12610 Shoemaker Ave. in the Golden Springs Business Center to distribute its toys and sporting goods, the brokerage said. The warehouse near Imperial Highway and the Santa Ana Freeway was built in 2001.

The value of the lease was not disclosed, but rents in the similar buildings in Santa Fe Springs range from about 50 cents to 65 cents a square foot per month, according to real estate data provider CoStar.
