CB Richard Ellis goes solar

Real estate giant CB Richard Ellis Group Inc. wants to give its clients a piece of the sun.

The Los Angeles-based company launched its CBRE Solar program Wednesday, offering services such as solar power purchase agreements, project development and management services, and investment opportunities to clients in the U.S. and Canada.

CB Richard Ellis will work with New York-based Smart Energy Capital, a firm that helps develop and arrange financing for renewable energy projects.

The program will be staffed by current employees of both companies.
